It's not very busy in the potato trade. With what is being traded, you can occasionally question it. Is it representative to include a batch with rot or storage problems in a price?
The PotatoNL still does not have a price, but the exchanges in Goes and Emmeloord have their own indicative price. For frying potatoes, this indicative price has been skipped a few times this season. This week, they only put a top on the board at €20 with the remark 'no transactions known at the bottom'. That's quite unusual. Belgapom is a certain factor when it comes to listing and once again puts €12.50 on the board. Somewhat remarkable because Viaverda/Fiwap listed €12.50 to €15, just like last week, with the remark that €12.50 is for the problem batches and oversupply. Apparently, Belgapom members only buy bad potatoes.
Reka raised the Fontane and Innovator by €1 to €13.50 and €21, respectively. This week, the German also came with the first price for Agria at €18. The DCA Spot Price for frying potatoes remains unchanged from last week at €14.15. The price is thus €0.50 lower than this week last year.
