Cooperative Milcobel has made a catch-up sprint with the October milk price. The Flemish company increases the (advance) milk price for the current month more than all other Belgian competitors so far.
The milk price at the legal Belgian amount of solids has been raised by a total of €3.00 to €48.50 per 100 liters. The actual paid milk price, with maximum supplements, rises to a top level of €53.05 per 100 liters.
In the comparison by Boerenbusiness, the milk price increases by €3.17 per 100 liters to a total of €52.69. For comparison: A-ware increased by €2.92 per 100 liters, FrieslandCampina by €2.50.
According to Milcobel, the increase is possible thanks to a high price level in the dairy market as a whole. The Belgian dairy cooperative also benefits from this.
Milcobel also reports that it has now completed the autumn dialogue with its members and will work on the outcomes. During the meetings, discussions were held on the milk price system and the current bonus system. The feedback received will be taken into account in the delivery terms for 2025.
