CEO Dick Hordijk is leaving Agrifirm

Monday 5:36 pm - Wouter Baan

CEO Dick Hordijk will step down at the end of this year from Agrifirm. In consultation with the Supervisory Board, it has been jointly decided that it is time for a different leader to implement the new strategy.

The press release talks about a natural moment to part ways. Who will succeed Hordijk is not yet known. Agrifirm indicates that the search has begun. The cooperative expects to be able to report on this within a few weeks. If the search takes longer, Hordijk may stay on longer.

The new CEO will have the task of shaping the new strategy for the period 2025 - 2028. With a shrinking livestock population in the Netherlands, this is a challenging task. Agrifirm is currently undergoing a reorganization and had to report red figures in 2023.

Hordijk is thanked by the Supervisory Board for his dedication during the past eight years as CEO. He is praised for the contribution he has made to realizing a responsible food chain for future generations.
